New International Collaboration Opportunities for the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences
The Interim Dean of our Faculty, Professor Manuela Banciu, PhD, visited The NOVA Medical School, part of NOVA University Lisbon, Portugal.
The visit included meetings with the leadership team and representatives of the academic and research community, focusing on key areas of mutual interest such as biomedical and clinical research, healthcare innovation, technology transfer, and the development of modern educational programmes. The dialogue between the two institutions highlighted numerous areas of common interest and opened promising perspectives for the development of joint projects with international impact.
A particularly inspiring part of the visit was the tour of the NOVA Medical School Research Campus, an ecosystem of excellence that brings together cutting-edge research, the clinical environment, and the technology sector.
This experience creates new opportunities for the development of strategic research partnerships, enhanced academic mobility, and participation in European projects with significant impact. Furthermore, collaboration with NOVA Medical School strengthens the position of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences within European academic networks and creates tangible benefits for students, academic staff, and researchers.
The visit took place within the framework of the EUTOPIA_HEALTH project (https://health.eutopia-university.eu/) and represents another important step towards building a European ecosystem for education, research, and innovation in health, founded on excellence, collaboration, and impact.
